I am not a professional genealogist. In fact, I am hardly an amateur genealogist. I have compiled (well, not really, as HyperTalk can't [yet] be compiled, but is rather interpreted, but I digress...) this stack in an attempt to get a handle on my own family history. Therefore, this stack does not follow any guidelines set forth by any professional genealogical organization (including the LDS church). As any of you who are familiar with genealogical research know, the method of storing information that I have devised is not approved by any organization, and would probably be seriously frowned upon. It is, however, the easiest method that I could devise for keeping and retrieving (as quickly as possible, in the smallest amount of space) a large amount of information on one's family within the HyperCard framework. If any of you users can think of a better system, or improvements to my current system, let me know.
I am also not (as the scripts underlying this stack will demonstrate) a professional programmer, and I therefore disclaim any and all warranties, both express and implied, of either merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose (that's legal jargon for "use at your own risk"). I would appreciate it if you would send info about any bugs to me on GEnie (addressed to J.CRNICH) or via U.S. Snail to the following address:

Good luck with your family trees, and I hope to hear from you soon (yes, you can believe it now - there is no emotional pitch for shareware dollars, and I leave you with no guilt trips - this is freeware). I'll bet you wish all fine print was this painless.
